Lake Union Park Floating Market Fresh Sheet 7-21-11

This week at the FarmBoat Floating Market you’ll find lots of local produce for healthy meal planning and dining. We have red beets, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumbers, dinosaur and flat curly kale, lettuce – romaine, red and green leaf, pearl white onions, spinach, turnips, tomatoes, broccoli, radishes and cucumber lemon and bell peppers.

This week we also have a limited supply of lavender jam (blueberry, raspberry and blackberry) transported by boat from Whidbey Island’s own Lavender Wind Farm lavender tea including: Spirit Tea – a blended passionflower herbal tea with stevia leaves, rosemary and lavender. Sunrise Tea: Blended Earl Grey Tea and lavender. Twilight Tea: Blended lemongrass, Chamomile and lavender.

Local organic cherries and raspberries by West Seattle Produce – get this fruit while you can – great for snacking or making summer desserts.

Infused olive oil and balsamics by 11 Olives. Artisan crafted coffee by Hart Coffee. Seattle Spice Company will have a selection of spices.

Nollies will have lunch time fare including salads, soups and pastries.

The ice cream cruise leaves every hour during the market – it’s great fun on any day. Now is also a great time to consider booking a classic yacht picnic cruise with Cedar Wave, a local charter company offering private cruises on the lake and Puget Sound.

Come join us and enjoy the historic Virginia V while having lunch or making your plans for dinner by getting the freshest locally produced organic foods!
