Join us for the last Farmboat Floating Market for the Season! We will have festive holiday foods and highly nutritious local produce for your holiday feasts! If you haven’t been to the Farmboat Floating Market aboard the Virginia V, this will be your last chance until next spring. So stock up!

Maria’s Desserts – This week you will be able to take home English Fruit Cake for the holidays as well as old favorites: Panettone, an Italian Christmas fruit bread, Bolo Rei, a Portuguese Christmas fruit bread, and Placek Swiateczny, a Polish Holiday fruit cake. Small ones sell at $5.00, medium ones at $15.00.

Farmboat volunteers will be offering:
a variety of apples, pears, potatoes, Parsnips, celery root, carrots, beats and sugar pumpkins from Marshland Orchards. Baby bok choy, mustard greens, squash, cabbage, and turnips from Full Circle Farms. We also are bringing Fresh canned (bottled) organic apricots by Rama Farm. Traditional cedar and holly swags will be available to help you decorate for holiday festivities.

Lunch from Nollies! menu:

Spicy Raspberry Turkey Sandwich: Roasted turkey breast with Gorgonzola cheese and a spicy raspberry aioli, roma tomatoes, leaf lettuce on Ciabatta.
Beef Pomodoro Sandwich: Lean roast beef with Roma and sun dried tomatoes, Jarlsberg cheese and mayo on Ciabatta.
Herbivore Sandwich: Fresh roasted egg plant, mushrooms, cucumber, Roma tomatoes, leaf lettuce, zucchini with hummus on Ciabatta.
Quiche: Spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and gorganzola – AND – Ham, bacon, and cheddar.
Pasties: Turkey, cream cheese, caramelized onions and cranberries in light pastry shell.
Beef Stroganoff: Made-from-scratch with tender egg noodles, sour cream, lean roast beef served in a single portion microwaveable to-go container.
Vegan/Soy-Free Lasagna: Rice Noodles, Daiya cheese and a a rice milk Bechamel give this dish a rich flavor you’d never guess was Vegan.
Italian Meat sauce Lasagna: Classic rich, satisfying dish made with DD Meats homemade Italian sausage and whole milk Bechamel.
Caesar Salad: Hearts of Romaine, parmesan, croutons and Nollie’s special Caesar dressing.
Wild Rice and Kale salad: Red chard, green kale, wild rice and fennel are the heart of this perennial favorite.
Broccoli Salad: Broccoli, DD Meats famous bacon and slivered almonds make this one of the most flavorful salads you will ever eat.
Tortellini Primavera: Three cheese tortellini in a 2-cheese pesto with kalamata olives and sun dried tomatoes.

While your at the market, Have a look around. The Virginia V is the last remaining steamship that was once part of a vast fleet of vessels which traveled all over Puget Sound to bring fresh farm goods to Seattle. The 125′ ship was fully restored a few years ago for a cost of $5 million. The Virginia V is registered as an Historic Maritime vessel which means that everything had to be restored to original – including the massive working steam engine.
