October 20th Fresh Sheet for Lake Union Park Market

It’s time again for another dockside market day at sunny Lake Union Park. We seem to have hit the best possible days this month so far and this Wednesday looks like no exception. Leave the umbrella at home and come on down to the dock for some fresh local produce and gourmet foods and crafts.

Here are some of the things we will have to offer from Maultby Farms, Full Circle Farms, Willowood Farms, and Growing Washington Farms:

Two varieties of apples: Spartan and Honey Crisp (One sweet, one tart)
Comice Pears
Cipollini Onions
Purple & Cheddar Cauliflower (one is high in anti-oxidents, the other has 25 times more Vitamin A than standard Cauliflower)
Bush Pole Beans
Patty Pan Squash (A summer squash that looks like little UFO’s)
Radishes
Red Cabbage
Rainbow Chard (very pretty to look at, even better to eat)
Butternut Squash (cute small ones make a great side dish for two)
Assorted Winter Squash
Mini Gourmet Potatos, Garlic & Onions

Additionally, Cha Doya’s Garden will have fresh flowers and many gorgeous root vegetables, leeks, baby bok choy and pickling cucumbers.

Gourmet lavender products from Lavender Wind Farms will also be featured along with amazing McSweet olives.

Maritime folk music will start around 5:00 PM by Chris Roe.

See you at the market from noon till 6:00 PM at the North Sea Wall of Lake Union Park.
